Ghost Adventures "Belmont Ghost Town"

Zak: "There is evil in the courthouse."  They're in the Nevada desert searching for the notorious Belmont Ghost town.  A truck turns up and throws a folder on the ground in front of them and drives away.  It's full of old clippings and a hand written message about evil in the courthouse.  Zak tells Aaron to open it.  There's clippings on Rose running Charles Manson out of Belmont.  Mining town was cursed.  Dark history after hangings and suicides and a curse dried the silver mines and infected the courthouse.  Poltergeist activity, attacks.  They're here to see what they can do to help.  Why was the courthouse still standing?  Rick was born and raised nearby.  He says there is negativity associated with the courthouse.  This town is cursed from two hanged men.  In 1874 two were arrested and in the bank building in the basement they set up jail cells.  A few locals were drunk and hanged them.  While they were still alive they hit and kicked them and blood was spattered.  This led to the curse.  One of them said this town wouldn't be anything as long as their blood stained everywhere before he was shot.  Jay says the mine dried up after six months they were hanged and the curse took affect.  At the Cosmopolitan is where they were accused of horse theft and another says Charlie and Jack threatened to burn the town down.  A capital crime.

Trifield reading spiked to 15 miligause.  Don't know what is causing the spike.  The device stopped at 10 when he asks if they are here.  Walker and MacIntyre were dragged to the jail which then became the bank and hanged.  Zak says as they open themselves to this "we react to their voices and want to feel their pain and suffering and the last moments of their lives, the energy kept rising and exploded.  That shrapnel from their soul and bodies is embodied in every piece of wood in this town.  Not sure how the courthouse built after they were hanged is evil."  The energy of that event is within and he feels that's what he needed for what awaits them in the courthouse.  Another death to talk about.  1884 a Soshone man accused of murder was the first man hanged by white men in Nevada.  Also the Soshone tribe was expelled from Nevada.

On day 2 Zak says nothing's changed since the 1800's.  The energy is the same and the stillness heard, mind focuses on past images since it hasn't changed.  Paranormal investigators Jonathan and Celia.  Disembodied voices, shadow figures, his hair was pulled.  Jonathan says there's a Manson carving.  Rose lived in Belmont amd in 1963 she found drifters camping in the courthouse and ran them off and saw them on the news.  Zak wonders if the curse led them to commit those murders.  This place got more.  Jonathan says his little finger was blood red.  They go in there.  His hair was pulled on the stairs.  Celia asks for his hair to be pulled again and Billy says the Trifield pegged.  Marion pulled his hair.  Zak uses energy as his energy is used to get results.  A man killed himself back there.  A light anomaly leaves Billy's arm and vanishes into Jonathan's.  Adam McLaine stole funds and then poisoned himself with strychnine after he couldn't hide this any longer.  Uses the Polter Pod on the second floor.  "Heard...more information..."  "Expanded...we moved on" a woman's voice comes through.  I don't hear "evil dog."  At the saloon they analyze the voice.

Start at the bank building with Jay and Aaron goes to the courthouse and set up the XLS.  Billy goes back to the stream where Zak was earlier.  Billy takes EMF readings at the stream and to get them to follow the path to the courthouse.   Jay goes to the basement where they were killed to release Jack and Charlie from the building.  Zak also asks for a piece of wood as a trigger object since their blood was everywhere down there.  Zak doesn't want him falling on a rusty nail as he's prone to falling a lot.  Zak reaches out to them.  Take them to the courthouse to release them.  Jay hears noises in the room.  Hoping it's not a mountain lion.  Jay says something ran by his leg when he gets back to Zak.  On the X camera a dark shadow leaves the basement and goes in their direction.  He also has whiskey.  Zak will have a retrial and will set them free.  Tells Aaron to enter the courthouse.

Aaron says when he put his foot on the step he felt like not going in.  Walking is heard inside, sounded like someone going up or coming down the stairs.  Billy is on the radio and captures a strange anomaly behind him.  Zak's boom mic picks up interference.  Was it Jack and Charlie following them?  Billy gets some spikes as he speaks with the two.  Zak asks if they want to be freed.  Take UV photos.  The black shadow turns out to be debunked as a deer.  Aaron sees a black mass on the XLS.  Zak puts the bottle and wood by the door of the courthouse.  The X camera captures a bright anomaly on the stairs going up.  Billy leaves the whiskey on the floor and Zak sees a black figure by the window.  They then see a black mass near Billy and hear a sound.  Aaron says it's a chair falling.  Two anomalies move towards each other.  Zak uses a robot to interact with Jack and Charlie.  An anomaly shoots into it.  A figure stands in front of the robot and spoke to it.  The robot got knocked over.

The activity then stops and they go to the vault room.  Using the APF D processor and ITC device.  "Simplest"?? "I did" when they ask if they want them to talk to him.  Asks if want cigarette or whiskey.  Another voice says "leave."  Zaks says Jack and Charlie are free to leave and move on from here.

Ghost Adventures "Terror on 25th Street"

Ogden, Utah where the buildings that have a dangerous history with a paranormal presence that also fits.  He talks with Jackie as the location is steeped in blood.  A violent building, two buildings, one is the Helena building, the basement is called Unspoken, another bar used to be where murders took place, The Rose Room.  Was there an underlying El Baracho Bar, Jared wants answers for what his staff are going through.  Jackie told Zak about the history.  Jared thought the buildings were cursed.  The City was told to let the Helena burn if it caught fire.  Digging in the basement disturbed something.  There's a speakeasy vibe here in the basement of The Helena building.  Rose isn't the only spirit here.  A woman in a dress was seen and was Rose Davey.  Other staff have seen her too in a long dress and then vanished.  Mackenzie tells him about pillars of mist she saw.  Mark saw a white smoke, a plumber who worked there.  He thinks there's a spirit.  He saw it within four days and he was alone.  He worked in the original basement.  There wasn't any hole in the wall and it was the shape of a shaft of mist.  Zak is excited about this mist as it's also corroborated by two people.

Zak's stomach hurts like someone is stabbing him after he stepped out of the doorway.  Something wanted him out.  Billy says one of the Vics was stabbed.  He could be experiencing residual energy being transferred.  The employees are afraid.  Jay find a mist on top of the stars when he was taking photos and it looks like a skull.  Jared tells them about more of this building where someone had made a hole through the wall.  One of the owners sealed off the brothel with a brick wall.  Zak says this is where all the activities would happen.  Can see where the dividing walls were.  Rose's brothel asks why the second floor was sealed.  A guest was laying in bed and he couldn't move after seeing the shadow of a woman on the wall.  Most activity is the woman being seen.  Rose would be there as she'd still have rooms there.

Aaron carries out an EMF at 4 and asks if Rose is there, as the EMF spikes.  Zak asks if he can lay on the bed.  Rose was a madam and could be telling him what to do.  Nothing happens, so Aaron takes his place and he gets more results, obviously.  A figure appears on the XLS and carries out sexual acts on him.  First the money is taken and then he's grabbed.  These events backs up the claims of the employees and guests and gives credibility to the brothel.  Billy laughs that a ghost chose Aaron over Zak, who is despondent at being rejected.  It grabs the headboard and rails and Aaron watches the footage for the first time.  Then lays down next to Aaron and disappears.  Aaron's most compelling evidence is that it chose him.

Zak investigates the El Baracho Bar and Rose's brothel above and Jay is at nerve centre.  The Helena building has motion sensors and cameras.  Zak uses walkies that spirits can hear better.  He sends a message to Rose.  Aaron wants to say thank you for last night.  They got evidence of the after life and the intelligent movements.  Zak mentions evil and the camera gets interference in Rose's old brothel room.  Zak saw a woman on her knees with black eyes and looking at him.  Zak takes full spectrum photos and EMF readings.  The monitor goes off again.  Zak captures a dark shadow figure within the doorway.  Looks like a man with a cowboy hat that Zak calls a bouncer.  Reminds me of the man at Bobby Mackays.  Zak takes photos again from the spot and nothing is seen.

Zak gets Jay to tell the entity to head over to the Helena building.  They feel a cold air at nerve.  He asks if they were captured on camera and a woman replies "no doubt."  He becomes dizzy in room 3.  A voice is heard outside.  No one is outside.  Billy hears singing.  I didn't hear it.  On the third floor, Billy checks the front of the building a voice comes from the walkie.  Did it shout "get out now" or "meow ow."  Sounded like Aaron.  A door slams shut.

Billy does some ultra violet video in the basement where the pillars of smoke were seen.  They hear footsteps.  The entrance to the club.  The footsteps lead them to the picture of Rose.  An anomaly goes towards Billy and then leaves.  It's only seen on the IR spectrum.  Billy uses the Paranormal Puck 2.  "Above" where the rooms are.  He asks what's in the basement and "Rose" comes through.  She's living beyond her death and still running a brothel in the afterlife and they will ask who was seen in the doorway.  Zak: "an incredible investigation they will never forget, especially Aaron."

Ghost Adventures "Hotel Congress"

Hotel Congress Zak describes as one of the most haunted hotels in the entire country.  Have 2 days to film here.  Not know what going to expect. But he meets his fans and others.  The hotel is open as this was part of the conditions for this investigation and is in its natural habitat.  Has everyone's emotions intact.  Built in 1918 which was visited by some of the most violent gangsters such as John Dillinger and his gang.  Murder suicides and fires.  Room 219 where Patrick had to call 911.  Guests in this room get possessed and a couple didn't speak much English.  Her husband was speaking in English in a woman's voice and he doesn't speak English.  Some police came to another room and the officer wouldn't come back.  His hand was shaking.  That room is still rented out and controlling entities are powerful enough to make themselves known.  David has insight into the history.  That's the only floor with rooms. The fire wiped out the third floor and some men were reluctantly to leave and gave the fireman $13 and the bags had to go.  Money and guns were in the bags.  Dillinger was staying there.  Weird coincidence he was here and the hotel caught fire.  Was the fire started to conceal something, unknown: creates highly charged paranormal activity.

Room 242 is the most active room.  Zak sits in this chair and his demeanour changes and he feels confused and can't focus on what the two women were telling him.  A woman had shot herself in the bathroom.  Later on in the evening they were trying to communicate and heard a scratch.  Later the scratch was heard again and woke up in the night feeling like someone was watching from the bathroom.  She was saying not to talk to them.  It's not friendly or welcoming.  No one was in the bathroom.  Zak says "it's another one."  He has to leave.  When the light got shut off that's when they felt something change in the environment.  Could it be the woman in this room.  She locked herself in, she threatened to pull the trigger if the police and her husband came in and they didn't listen.  So she shot herself.  Jay was behind the camera and he took three photos.  There was something on Zak.  He says it's the same thing that turned the light off.  Jay said it used the battery as a source.  The dark mass over him is incredible to him.

Room 242 to see if the presence is connected.  Billy gets a steady 6 EMF which increases.  Zak feels pushed.  Zak had to leave again for his health.  Aaron asks if Zak was pushed "Don't wanna talk about it."  Billy asks what happened and it replies "leave."  Zak wants to see what they captured on the second night, the hotel is being cleared for their investigation.  Determine what is causing the staff and guests to be possessed.  They open themselves up to this negativity and come up with a plan to expose the entities and that makes them even more exposed.  Another light is lost when they mention the activity here.  Billy plays the audio from the recorder Zak put in the bathroom.  One voice says "what are they doing here?"  The other one whispers "I don't know."  Later another voice says "something is in here."  Or did the voice say "wanna talk about it."  "Sitting on" after he asks what he's sitting on.  "I'm sitting...Bed."  On the thermal he caught someone sitting on it.  Imprints of someone's bum.  ITC is important for communication with the other side.

Zak says their condolences for Scott Grunwald to whom this investigation was dedicated.

He and Jay investigate the second floor and Aaron and Billy investigate the basement.  Haven't been inside the possessed room yet.  If there's something dark and dangerous it will be there.  Zak tells them to come out of their rooms.  Goes into the room, is a haunted room and talk to the spirits some more.  They hear a noise like a rattling door.  Room 214 Zak leaves the door open and 219 is down the hall.  They hear footsteps in the hallway.  Zak says hello and a woman replies "hello."   The light opens in 214 as they leave it.  The lamp can't come on by itself and needs the button to be pushed.  "I don't wanna say it..." is what I heard.  He asks if 219 is scary?  "Calling Satan" comes through and what he asks what he can do, "you can help me."  "We'll put it on his head."??  Something falls on the floor.  A roll of candy from the basket which had to have been thrown.  It's the old fashioned type.

In the possession room 219 a strange shape is seen above Jay's head.  The voices were captured during silence.  They didn't get possessed in the room.

In the basement they get a different feeling when the lights are off.  In the boiler room and Billy catches a little creature on the rail attacking Aaron.  He always gets the little entities right from his time on the Hales Bar Marina and Dam ep.  Aaron wants to leave and Billy asks him to go round.  Aaron feels cold and hears someone walking.  Billy asks it it was trapped or tortured then to show itself.  A figure shows up on the XLS on its knees about to be executed.

It stands up and then vanishes like it was shot against the wall.  Aaron feels something came out of him.  That's why he was feeling so emotional.  Billy says it showed him what happened but it made Aaron feel empathetic.

Zak talks of the evidence they can't explain that shows there are still intelligent spirits here.

Ghost Adventures "LA Hospital of Horror"

Historic investigation where Zak feels their vehicles are symbolic reps of the armour they'll need of the danger they're about to face.  The historic Los Angeles Hospital will be explored, one floor at a time and two days to investigate.  Special permission to be here.  He and Jay will be interviewing.  Billy and Aaron will investigate Floor 5.  Next day they'll go over their findings and will lead to Floor 15: with the most death.  Late 1800's when the plan was conceived but wasn't constructed until the late 1930's, when the hospital was built for the city's growing population.  Later the LA Hospital had been an overshadow for others.  Abandoned today, it's no longer the hospital but they will investigate many floors with the most death.  A highly active "coloasal tomb erupting with residual energy.  The likes of which we've never encountered."

Speaks with Robert.  He just says there were always bodies there and the wards were always full.  Many bodies were put on the gurney and they'd be put into the back of a truck, no respect was shown.  So much death.  Speaks with Timothy who on 27th April 1974, a friend of his sister were neighbours and were having a party and a man in his late '20's hit him and stabbed him with an icepick.  He was brought here and they had to operate and was told to clench his fist and grit his teeth and they placed a tube in his mouth and a scalpel in his body.  Were doing surgery without anaesthetic.  Was told he was in pain.  Civil War soldiers got whiskey.  Zak says he was tortured.   His spirit left his body, he saw and heard them and said he probably wouldn't make it.  He prayed to God and he heard a voice saying he'll be helping others. Hhe took up a life in the ministry.  He believes demons and spirits hang around where so much death.

Zak says this could be bad if they're not careful.  Jay finds research and asks if this demonic force could have been here for years??  Feeding off the pain and suffering and lashing out at the weak.  Timothy says he believes the bad thing could be exposed and they could be targets.  Zak says they can't go through all the records.  Many deaths were preventable.  Jay said they weren't reporting all the statistics.  Maria died in a room with staph.  Many patients shouldn't have died and were just neglected.

Billy and Aaron say the floor looks like a horror movie.  They see a flashing light, a call light and the rooms are rooms 50 and 20.  Zak says are trapped spirits, could be asking for help.  Billy shows the evidence they gathered.  They caught the call lights at the nurses station.  Room 20 and 50.  Aaron heard a voice trying to speak.  An anomaly goes into Aaron's throat.  Cries for help could just be residual energy or spirits trapped by the malevolent entity.

Floor 15 the surgical floor where the most death was seen.  Jay and Jeff conduct experiments on the 5th floor.  They hear an alarm beeping.  A light anomaly moves from out of the floor on the XLS.  A black mass then enters and leaves.  They don't know where the alarm is from.  They ask if anyone needs help.  It's cold over the table.  Anomalies are caught around Billy.  Three beeps are heard as Zak tells it it can't be here.  Then they ask for the beeps again.  The EMF detector falls off or could have been pushed.  A voice says "it hurts."  Singing is heard down the hall, sounds like a child.  Zak uses a linear microphone.  Zak falls into a hole and says he'll be okay as he's in a hospital.  Zak hears a male voice.  Aaron asks why there's a shackle and a mouse.

Zak uses a new ITC device, a transmitter and receiver to the device so they can communicate.  Something touches Zak's ear and touches Billy.  Like a needle on the back of the neck.  A voice says "tried to disrupt him, or touch him."  "Feel like he set me up here, or sent me up here."  In a hallway he asks if they need help.  Zak wants Aaron to go into the room but it doesn't lock shut.  Billy hears a door move and then catches a bag disappear through it, like it was pulled from the other side of the door.  He says the bag looks like it was sucked back behind it.

Jay and Jeff don't find much going on here.  Use a motion activated robot and will try to communicate.  The robot speaks to something in the room.  The robot falls over or is knocked over.  Jeff uses new software where he'll find if the person is male or female and their age, within 5 years.  Jay asks if it has a name.  It says "yes,"  Jay feels funny.  The camera shuts off and the light on Jeff's laptop appears to be pulled off to the ground.  The X camera catches a mist by the other camera where the light was thrown.

Zak: "Evidence has shown us there's much more to their lives than their last breath, the anomalies, the audio captures and the unexplained Poltergeist activity."  Yes we know that.  The hospital has been the backdrop for the filming of many movies and shows here.

Doctor Who 14.2 "The Devil's Chord"

A music teacher teaching a boy the piano says he's discovered 'the Devil's Chord' ergo the boy gets excited.  Enter Maestro (Jinkx Monsoon) who tells him that the boy is his son and as he's outlived his usefulness he kills him.  Then thanks the teacher for being a genius as he discovered the chord and then sucks the music out of him, literally, figuratively, take your pick.  Then takes a bite out of all music and removes it from the world.

Meanwhile, the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) asks ruby (Millie Johnson) where she wants to travel.  She comes up with the '60's as her mother's friend loves The Beatles and she listened to their album.  Change of outfits to the '60's era and they find themselves on the famous zebra crossing as they walk down it mimicking the famous album cover.  At the studios they relieve the tea lady of her trolley and serve tea to everyone.  ending up in the studio where the Beatles are recording.  However they think the song is rubbish as it's about a dog and boring.  In the tea room, they tackle Paul (George Caple) and John (Chris Mason) separately.  John says he'll amount to nothing and Paul is disillusioned with the whole concept of music.  Soon finding out that music has vanished everywhere. With a rooftop piano the Doctor gets Ruby to play a tune and Maestro enters and proceeds to stop them.  Giggling just like the Toymaker from The Giggle.  Also as you'll recall the Toymaker mentioned his legions and Maestro says the same later on in the ep.

They escape and hide in a basement.  The Doctor is once again fearful and as he explained in Space Babies why he was scared then, it's a little difficult to imagine that he could flee again and feel this way too once more.  He says that the last time he fought an "Elder God" his soul was ripped in half.  He can't go though something like that again.  Ruby comments she's still alive in 2024 and as he takes her to her future, everything is destroyed and was that snow falling again, or debris flying around.  With no music, humans went to war and destroyed themselves.  Again another harkback to Doctor Fourteen (David Tennant)  in The Giggle and his saying how humans are capable of such destruction.

Maestro controls the environment and as they head back to 1963, they are trapped again and the Doctor tries to control her meddling with his Sonic, which works for a while, but Maestro's tuning fork turns out to be more powerful than his Sonic.  Here it's revealed that she is the Toymaker's daughter.  As people begin to play the piano, listen to music again, Maestro turns up and proceeds to end them and along with that any spark of humanity getting away from the dismal doom.

At the studios, the Doctor and Millie try to use music to lure Maestro there and play notes which will become a Beatles' song.  However, Maestro fights them at every opportunity and soon the Doctor ends up trapped inside a drum and Ruby inside a double bass.  As each note they played was matched by Maestro and her violin.  Since there is one chord that brought her here and so matching that chord will take her back or vanquish Maestro. The piano is pushed out of the room.  Which was handy as Paul and John pass by and play that very note needed and thus saving Ruby and the Doctor.  Discovering they have the talent to make good music after all.  Maestro is defeated and there's a song and dance number at the end, which quite honestly was a bit cheesy, "there's always a twist at the end."  Twist as in story plot point, but also as in the dance, I presume, ha.  There was also a dance number with the aliens in the Christmas Special, which seems to have carried on further here.

Some references to The Giggle here as well as the Doctor telling Ruby that he lived on Totters Street with his granddaughter, Susan, but she's gone now.  Referencing the first episode, An Earthly Child.  Ruby says she's still alive so the Doctor won't fail, only living her demise, so to speak in the future.  As she should now, Time isn't set in stone and she's seen that by the Doctor taking the TARDIS anywhere in time.  References to The Pyramids of Mars here.

Doctor Who 14.1 "Space Babies"

We get to see what happened in The Church On Ruby Corner and how it set up the premise for this series going forward.  As well as Ruby (Millie Gibson) in the TARDIS, getting to see the ins and outs, before reminding the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) that her mum's waiting for her on her birthday.  A forward to a prehistoric land where she wants to see dinosaurs.  Asking what happens if she does anything to change history, like stepping on a butterfly.  The Doctor dismissing this by saying, "no one steps on a butterfly."  He explains they're in the US right now which will become certain States in the future.  But she does it doesn't she, I mean, she had to, step on a butterfly.  Luckily the Doctor manages to salvage that situation.  Since she could've changed everything and might not even have been born.  As he tells her at the end of the ep that the snow in the space station was a warning.  She's never to go back to that day and he can't and won't take her back.  She has to know that and he stresses that.  As the snowfall continues in the TARDIS.  Of course we know this may or may not be the case, I'm opting for the former, that somehow they will get to the point where this does, has to, happen.  We also see Ruby change when she does step on the butterfly, signifying she could become this different, more hostile person.

Next minute we're on the space station where they are chased by a beast in the corridor.  This show loves its corridors, passages on spaceships and space stations.  The Doctor is surprised that he ran and he doesn't feel scared of anything, but he did now.  In the lift they reach another floor where they come across a baby who thinks they're his parents.  Cue more babies in strollers.  There's also a baby Captain.  Lots of banter and quite a bit of exposition as Ruby asks questions and the Doctor explaining certain terms to her, such as him having two hearts, the chameleon circuit and the translation circuit.  There's even a nanny as she tells the children what to do, as well as getting their noses wiped.

A touching moment when they realize it's been six years and the babies didn't grow in body, but grew in mind.  And they've never been hugged!  Cue plenty of hugs and of course, the Doctor kept adding space babies after he called them babies.  Not to mention that "maverty" was also shown on that map/board.  Following on from Wild Blue Yonder.  Also the theme of orphans and abandonment close to Ruby's heart and life.  The space station was shut down due to financial reasons and the babies were left there with the crew leaving under protest.  The babies were born and left here.  The nanny (Golda Rosheuvel) was the accountant but stayed to look after them.  Explaining she didn't want to show herself since eventually the air will run out, she she'll die, as will they.

They wonder why the beast is roaming the lower depths and as Ruby says earlier on, it's a story.  Thus the beast is the big, bad wolf.  Venturing back below they work out that the beast was created at the same time as the children were born, so she was right.  The Doctor realizes that the beast is made of bogies, hence the literal bogeyman and we see a flashback to the babies getting their noses blown.  Which isn't what Ruby wants to hear as she's just had a snotful dropping on her.  The Doctor also wasted no time in hugging Ruby, any chance he gets.  As well as smiling as a form of distraction when the snow falls.  As we get a flashback to the church again and her mysterious mother.  Who now appears to be different in character.

As nanny airlocks the bogeyman when he's chasing the pair.  The Doctor tells Ruby to stop her from ejecting him out.  He needs to be saved, as he's part of the babies' lives.  He enters the airlock and saves the beastly bogeyman.  At the end you also get a howl from him.  As the smell was the nappies, the Doctor says they generated enough methane to boost them towards the planet where they can get help.  Another topical reference to getting refugee status.  Ruby makes it back for her birthday and brings the Doctor with him and his TARDIS.

Ruby reminds me of Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman). in so many ways.  Not least of which is her curiosity but also how she runs around like her quite a bit and we don't know much, if anything about her at all, yet.  Impossible Girl ramifications.  As well as her tartan minis, again reminiscent of Clara. The Doctor also mentions how they used names on his planet like the Doctor, the Colonel and there's even a Rani. As a bit of exposition for new viewers.

Doctor Who 3 "The Giggle"

Soho 1925 as John Logie Baird's (John Mackay) assistant Charles Bannerjee (Charlie de Melo) comes into a toy shop to buy a toy.  But he only wants the one Stooky Bill and not his entire family.  The Toymaker (Neil Patrick Harris) with his crummy German accent (!) converses with him and accuses him of not being British, to which he replies he was born in Cheltenham.  A rather topical, bigoted remark on his part, we modern audiences can easily equate with. He takes the doll to Logie Baird as he uses it to send out the first TV pictures as the doll burns, as it would be too hot for any human to handle such temperatures.  As the puppet giggles, we enter back to today and how the crowd on the streets have gone "proper mental."  With The Doctor (David Tennent) stopping one man from getting run over, he tells the Doctor he's right and he knows he's right that's why he's in front of the car.  The Doctor glimpses a man in a bow tie dancing and obviously he stands out.  However, UNIT arrives and takes them all away, Donna (Catherine Tate) specifically requesting for Wilf (Bernard Cribbens) to be taken care of.

At UNIT HQ the Doctor meets up with Kate (Jemma Redgrave) again and Melanie Bush (Bonnie Langford) who he's overjoyed to see again.  With Donna's comment on how she wasn't the first red headed companion.  There's a spike in the human brain which is causing them to "act" out.  They wear arm bracelets to stop themselves from being affected and even Kate has hers removed to show the full effect of the madness.  Donna meanwhile draws up a musical scale and Melanie hums it.  They've heard it before but can't recall where.  Shirley (Ruth Madeley) pulls up Stooky Bill and his giggle, which the Doctor recalls and his known location was in Soho not far from the residence of Logie Baird, and his first transmission in 1925.  The Doctor gives one of his speeches about humanity and how they're brilliant and intelligent and at the same time can be so violent, destructive and crave the suffering.

Donna mentions how the Doctor can't cope with his companions and what's happened to them.  He says he doesn't feel himself anymore especially with what was endured with the Flux in particular.  However he doesn't have an easy task this week as he's forced to encounter The Toymaker again.  Especially when his superstition over spilling the salt has come true and he says that's the reason he came back, the Doctor opened the way back for him to return.  So for Fourteen, this will be another burden on him having opened that portal and memory, of sorts.  As I said in the previous ep review, his dark foreboding has been realized.

As the Toymaker "toys" with them, Donna doesn't take the Doctor's advice and return to the TARDIS, as he throws balls at them since it was the first game caveman played, by throwing rocks at others and killing them.  He then vanishes with the two in hot pursuit in a never ending corridor.  They are soon parted once more and the Doctor meets Baird's assistant, who needs his help to return to normal.  But the Toymaker is pulling his strings and he's unable to help him.  Unlike Donna who gets the better of Stooky Sue as she tries to torment her, knocking her head off and warning the babies against attacking her.

In their next encounter the Toymaker runs through the fates of his companions, mentioning Amy and particularly the ones that have passed, such as Bill.  As well as the Flux, causing the Doctor to challenge him to a game.  Playing cards, the Doctor reminds him it's one-all and it's best of three according to his own rules.  As the Toymaker reminds him how he got the better of the (current) Master and sealed him in his gold tooth, now in his mouth.  There's also someone more scary yet to be seen, but he doesn't expand on that.  Donna says she's "already running."  Outside the Toymaker dismantles his toy store and places it in a toybox which the Doctor takes with him to the present.

Back in the present day, the Toymaker gets hold of the Galvanic beam that Kate needed permission to use and got from the Doctor.  As he tries to destroy him and his companions.  But he does get to use the Galvanic beam on the Doctor who begins a regeneration.  So we're sat here thinking it's all over right now and that's it for Doc Fourteen.  Surprise, surprise he recovers and enters into a "Bi-Generation."  The Fifteenth Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) appears and they have to pull away from each other.  Apparently in the Whoniverse, two Doctors are now viable.  So one can go his own way, to a life he deserves and the new one continues in his place.  As he says to Fourteen, "don't worry, I've got this."  At the end.

As they challenge the Toymaker to a game of balls and he finally is defeated, and boxed away in his Toybox, as well as Kate picking up his gold tooth (potential for a future ep with the Master perhaps.) With Fourteen losing his shoes along the way.  Fifteen also musters up another TARDIS so they can have one each.

So Fourteen becomes part of the Noble-Temple family and has already had secret trips into the TARDIS with Rose and Auntie Mel is also welcomed.  A time for him to relax and maybe have some adventures of his own.  I couldn't help but think of the War Doctor and those eps with Ten when he had that family life and went off to World War One and the loss of the Time Lords.  Everything bad coming for him.  Now he gets to lay his weary head in a caring family and to use his words, he doesn't have to go anymore...all teary eyed here for some reason!!

I feel Doctor Ten bore the brunt of the human suffering, the fall out of his travels and wars, constant battles and was tired of it all.  Still recalling his regeneration into Eleven, uttering he didn't want to go and well, now he was brought back.  Back for good too.  Even though Eleven (Matt Smith) was my fave, it was great to have Ten/Fourteen back to stay, who knows the possibilities of a future return and jumping into that TARDIS for old times sake!!  Two hearts crossed!  Ha.

Doctor Who 2 "Wild Blue Yonder"

I liked this episode for several reasons.  Not least of which is how it begins with Donna (Catherine Tate) having spilled coffee again and they end up in 1666 and having to ask Isaac Newton the year they're in.  As well as pointing out the word "gravity" to him, which he completely misses as "maverty" oh dear.  They even use it themselves in the episode.  Then ending up in a spaceship as the TARDIS gets damaged and buzzes off as it needs time to repair itself, with the Sonic attached.  As the Doctor (David Tennent) recalls the HATS (Hostile Activation Displacement System) system whereby the TARDIS leaves when there's a hostile situation.  But it wasn't just for these reasons.  As they get closer to finding out that whatever landed here when the airlock was opened three years ago, as they try to assimilate themselves into the Doctor and Donna.  But dang those long arms.  It was a good scene where they were hot and cold and realized they had 'doubles.'  Lots of added banter too and some emotional scenes when Donna says she knows what he went through with the Flux and how she read his mind.  What happened to all those people wasn't his fault.  Also how the Wild Blue Yonder is a war song, but when she sung it she was told it was full of fun and joy.  he says it's an Air Force song and not Army.

I think that keeping this episode secret, as Russell T Davis did, worked, if the plot was revealed it would've given too much away and there wouldn't be any surprises if we knew from the start that they'd come across 'monstrous' versions of themselves in a bid to escape the ship they were stuck on.  What was interesting was how the 'aliens' could've mimicked anyone on the ship, but were both fortuitous and at the same experiencing bad luck, in having these two here.  Knowing they'd have no hope to get off the ship.  Loved the references to being brilliant and idiotic at the same time.  It was akin to a screwball comedy with some dark-ish elements thrown in.

Having crashed into the ship, they hear a voice which the Doctor doesn't understand the language of, since well he speaks over billions and this one isn't one of them.  Sufficied to say, whenever this voice is heard, the ship alters its shape inside.  They pass a very old robot (sloth-like) in the never ending corridor and the Doctor calls him Jimbo.  Have no idea why.  He opens up the floor to find a ride which they use to drive down the corridor.  getting to the front of the ship, Donna comments there's no stars and he says they're at the edge of the universe.  Light hasn't caught up with them yet and in a few billion years she can get home to see her family.  Noises are heard throughout, which sound like something's colliding or moving about on the ship.

So as the Doctor gets Donna to move the plastic gadgets in the large drawers, they show them as if they're in an alternate universe and we don't know they have doubles, until their arms grow long.  They find out they're aliens as they shift and alter their body parts to fit in place.  Then get chased by them.  As they do give chase, the imposter aliens suddenly find themselves growing at massive size and speed and get stuck in the corridor.  Thus giving them time to escape for a bit.  The salt scene does suggest they could be vampires and even having large teeth, but this wasn't to be.  They soon realize that they know their thoughts as they are morphing into them.  So the real pair suggest they don't think anything.  Which finally the Doctor finds is too difficult to do.  Donna saying that they didn't get into the airlock, but the Captain of the ship got out, to save the ship and the universe from these monsters getting to reach civilization.  Then she killed herself, but the aliens don't know why.

Donna saying the voice is a countdown as the Doctor realizes what the words mean.  He says that's what he thought from the beginning.  As they race to stop it, he gives up and the TARDIS returns.  Though he picks up the wrong Donna as he questions her on her choir teacher, Miss Bean.  But returns in the nick of time as he realizes the imposter's arm was too long.  The ship explodes after the countdown is sped up.  They return home and to Wilf (Bernard Cribbens) waiting for her, only to find that the people on Earth are going crazy out of their minds and chaos.

The Doctor has a foreboding about the salt.  As he told them they can't cross it until they count each grain, or if they're not afraid and not vampires etc, they should cross it.  Which does come back to haunt him in the final Specials ep.

Witness For The Prosecution - County Hall, London

Witness For The Prosecution, marvellously curated by Agatha Christie and brought to life in many forms from the film with Marlene Dietrich and Tyrone Power, to the BBC production a few years ago; boasts a whodunnit of intrigue.  At least on first viewing.  The husband accused of killing a middle aged lady he befriended, or she befriended him, for money: s an oft used plot but is made all the more interesting as the barrister called upon to defend Leonard Vole, is taken by his innocence to the point of being arrogant in his defence.  Only to have been fooled by the Voles.  Mrs Vole coming across as a superior intellect and actress in ensuring her husband is acquitted of the crime.

This adds a certain irony in that barristers are meant to be actors themselves when bringing poise and elegance to the defence of the accused, especially when said accused is a bit of a ladies man.  So it's no wonder that the stage production is equally as exciting and fast paced, even if you are familiar with the story.  A brilliant portrayal by all concerned and deliciously evocative in its production at none other than County Hall, London, on the banks of the River Thames.  A most suitable setting if ever there was one.

Very enjoyable and a must-see if you're into your crime mysteries and courtroom dramas.  That had some of the audience gasping at the end reveal.  Though if you have seen it before it won't be a shock, however the mystery still plays to you as you're not quite sure how it will pan out and be true to the original story or not.

Doctor Who "The Church on Ruby Corner"

Narrated by the new Doctor Fifteen (Ncuti Gatwa) as he tells of an abandoned baby left by the church and a woman, her mother leaving her behind and she is unknown.  Named Ruby after the church on the street where she was left.  Then back to 23 December 2023 where Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) is at a club and things go wrong for her and then the Doctor dances in the crowd in a skirt/kilt.  As she watches him and then he mentions that things will go wrong for her, as she puts her drink on a table , or so she thinks but the glass falls to the floor.  He then sees her in the taxi where a giant snowman is about to fall on her taxi but he uses his new sonic to make the traffic lights change to green.  Then a woman with a pram walks by and it falls onto him.  He comments on her out with a pram at midnight.  She tells him it's her shopping.  Even if she was out at midnight with a pram, so...??

The TARDIS is parked on Ruby Street where Ruby lives and the neighbours argue over who left it there.  Ruby lives with her foster mother, Carla Sunday (Michelle Greenidge) who's fostered 33 children, as they get another baby named Lulabell coming for Christmas.  A goblin tears Ruby's bag so she drops her shopping.  The social worker brings the wrong nappy size so Carla has to get some as Ruby is meant to look after the baby.  She gets a call from Davina McCall who tells her that they weren't able to find anything out about her parents.  Also she says that bad luck started when Ruby was there and she's been affected badly, sitting on a wheelchair with bandages, as the Christmas tree falls on her and she's knocked out by the star.

Lulabelle is taken by the goblin as Ruby finds his part of his eye and face on the Polaroid under the crib.  As she gives chase through the skylight (which seems to feature a lot re the earlier eps with Doctor Fourteen (David Tennant).)  However she manages to hold on as the Doctor appears and grabs onto the ladder too.  He gives her gloves so she can hold onto the ropes easily and her body becomes light.  Inside the goblin ship as he calls them, they are tied up as the baby is about to be feasted upon.  With a song sung by a goblin.  He works out how to undo the ropes as there is no electricity or wires around, it means the rope must have a certain frequency too.  The baby is about to be fed to Jabba the Hut lookalike and the Doctor and Ruby sing as they save her, using the ropes to get back down.

At the loft, he finds that everytime he talks about coincidences something bad happens and the ship is still there as they leave a crack in the entire loft as they alter time.  ( Just like the crack in the wall from earlier series.) Ruby vanishes and is back on the ship as a baby.  So he has to rescue her and leaves her at the church where she's found by the priest. He also sees her mother walk away but we don't know who she is.  Though rumours abound about it being River Song.  He then returns and sees the crack is back at the ceiling and Ruby returns.  As he leaves the neighbour. Mrs Flood (Anita Dobson) spots him and his TARDIS and Ruby chases after him.

We get a glimpse into how things were sad without Ruby being there.  As Carla only fostered when she needed the money and only fostered no more than five or six children.  Ruby reminded me of Clara (Jenna Coleman) she had that much energy and enthusiasm.  From the teaser/trailer seems there are some good eps to come but having to wait until May to watch them, seems so far away.  Also people saying that Mrs Flood is actually River Song: River = Flood.

Ghost Adventures "Devil Island"

Devil Island thought it was called Angel Island.  Zak talks with Felicia who done a doco on the Island and the immigrants there.  Billy nearly crashes into a car, but Zak didn't use to drive that much in the past.  Billy had their equipment almost stolen from the car and one of their crew members got news about a family bereavement.  Angel Island founded in 1795 and was declared a military reserve and to protect against Confederate Civil War attack.  Asian and other immigrants were processed here.  Steel bars and the water separated them from their dream.  Couldn't leave without supervision, interrogated, island of suicide and deaths.  Those that escaped Alcatraz were dragged here by the currents and spending their last moments of freedom here.

Zak thought of the sensitivities of what happened with the immigrants on the Island and he wants to know what experiences her father and grandfather went through.  They didn't speak of their experiences, pain, fear, the psychological trauma.  Her father was interviewed three times and they had to sign their names and on one document he had shaky handwriting, showing his fear.  There were cases of suicide.  The dark history needs to be explored where the energies are born.  In China Town Jay speaks with Jeff, who speaks of a young bride-to-be, she answered some wrong questions and they deported her here.  So she wore her wedding dress and hanged herself.  Lots of hauntings are associated with her aka 'the White Witch'.  She's been seen wandering on the Island.  Islands keep secrets and the dark past might not be known.  These hauntings are strong enough to last as Zak says.  The perfect environment to get stronger and to breed.  He hates deep, dark water cos of sharks.  He sees the buildings looking back with eyes speaking of the horrific past.

Former resident, Dan, he worked on the Island as a boat ranger.  He believes it's haunted and has had experiences.  Everyone told him about the hauntings.  She bride walks on Perimeter Road, in front of the house where he lives, the firehouse.  He says it's very dark and how everyone says it should be called 'Devil's Island.'  Zak thinks it's a sign of things to come and he's honestly afraid.  Dan tells of a gym in a warehouse and he went there by himself and heard a blood curdling scream and then it wasn't a human scream.  Was a crematorium on the island.  Zak thinks the scream could be of Civil War soldiers.  Dr Jeff Dwyer heads to the Civil War hospital with them.  Due to no antibiotics many who were here didn't live or leave.  He tells them of a murder/suicide and where they were stored after Emma Spores was shot and killed by Francis Kimmel in 1872.

Ranger Casey tells them of the band leader and another member had a daughter, Emma who was 15 and he liked her and stalked her.  At the party he shot her in the head and then himself.  Billy says that story bothers him and that one stood out to him.  Billy shares his fascination with the murder/suicide calling out her killer.  Aaron says she can leave and doesn't have to stay around here.  4.3 spike on the EMF reader.  Billy says she should stay close by if she wants to leave.  Billy doesn't like it here.

At the murder/suicide house Zak asks about the dark force on the Island.  'Where are you Emma' 'car' comes back.  Zak uses the Paranormal Puck.  What is inside this house?  'Horrible.'  Voice saying 'leaving.'  comes through.  Billy says Emma's coming with them.  "Crossover" comes through on Ovilus.  "Remove Master" comes through.    All of Zak's equipment stops working since they arrived here.  Voice comes through "there's a tree behind this house"??  Also she sounds like she had an accent: Japanese/Chinese ???

Ranger Casey tells them about symbols painted on one of the rooms: occult symbols.  They are diving deeply into the curiosities of this Island.  They may have been affecting the people on this Island.  Bone wind chimes are found.  Something feels different.  They repainted and found the symbols but they didn't paint over them and they preserved them out of caution.  On the third floor and Zak says he saw a woman with dark hair hunched over.  Billy's hands are freezing cold.  He tells them not to watch the wall.  Jay talks of the symbol directing to Alaister Crowley (of course!)  Seven pointed star a heptagram, part of the Seal of Babylon.  Her husband is the creator of Chaos.  A man and a woman.  Goal of Babylon is to possess a living person and then to manifest his powers of chaos.  The symbol is also inverted.  The Tree of Life and the symbols are out of order.  Hmm I said that voice said 'tree', who knows?  Zak says there's so many different layers on this Island and could be the main doorway with the beast coming through with Babylon on its back.

He's pumped up on this investigation and the clues don't want to be discovered and they're into something that could be dangerous for them.  He and Jay head to the abandoned warehouse, whilst Billy and Aaron head to the hospital.  Billy uses the XLS device to conduct a quick sweep.  Before heading to the murder house.  Aaron says he saw a woman's shadow with long hair but it couldn't be confirmed.  Use the SB7 spirit box.  "I'm glad it good" is what I hear in a man's voice.  They go to the basement where the morgue is.  As they head to the basement they hear "followed me down."  "Here again" or "did it again" as opposed to "not a woman."  Billy says she was sixteen and he got the gun, said bye to his friend and pulled the trigger.  It took her ten minutes to die and he died before her.  A ball of light is seen when Billy talks of the story.  "You see him"?? in the female voice.  Billy tells Jeff to speak to Emma and Fritz and to invite them to the hospital.  A mist leaves through the doorway.

At the murder house and they're trying to set up an experiment.  Aaron shouts he needs Billy and he felt strange.  A mist is caught when they begin feeling like this.  The Tesla coil turns on by itself.  They argue amongst themselves.  It then just goes off.  They can't even begin to explain what they're doing.  Billy doesn't want to be in the circle.  Aaron is also upset.  Has been over an hour.  Something happens to Jeff.  Billy says they should shut the devices.  He's getting a headache.  Jeff says it's not him.  He needs to leave.   Billy uses infrasound and "homicide" comes through on the Ovilus.  Billy asks if Emma's here?  "Us" comes through.

At the warehouse they hear a scream.  Then some sort of a screeching noise, he calls high pitched.  Was it something being moved.  They then hear a crashing sound.  One of the rooms is empty.  "I want to scream and fight."  On the recorder.  Sounds like Jeff to me.  After they leave the warehouse a black mist is caught on the camera, loud crashing sounds.

At the ritual house Zak says Jay left him and he says that he was here for him.  There's an anomaly behind him on his left shoulder side at 41.46.  Zak uses the binaural microphone and the full spectrum as he feels something is off in there.  Zak hears a female voice.  "I'm there" or "here."  Sounds like she has an accent again.   Jay begins an incantation of Babylon.  Two snake-like anomalies are captured going in and out of the circle.  They feel ecstasy.  "There's all kinds of... love??...Zak...you're nothing" not 'awesome.'  "Bend with it..." the paint can is knocked off the shelf downstairs and is heard upstairs.  Something lured them in and he doesn't know how that will affect them.

Aaron felt like it was jumping through them and he didn't see Billy looking at him.  Billy wanted to hurt them both.  One word to describe what happened, it was chaos.  Said that too.  Jay and Zak experience the opposite.  They hear a scream when they say 'chaos.'  Was the scream Babylon or the White Witch.  They were being seduced.  Babylon is the goddess of sexual impulse and they went through chaos.  Jay goes into Quarters 10.  The three of them head to the Thousand Man barracks.  The human spirits are being contained here and Zak feels they need to help them.  When he saw it for the first time he just saw people and faces at the windows and they were trapped and couldn't leave.  This path they've been led to here.

At the Quarters building a man was attacked.  Jay hears whispering.  Jay heads to the bedroom.  They saw Jay's face rotting when they conjured Babylon.  On the X camera in the kitchen a black shadowy mass is caught and is translucent, at the same time the motion ball lights up.

The Paranormal Puck is placed at the doorway.  If they've been followed then guise the spirits to talk to them.  "Where are the trapped souls kept?" "Island."  They can't leave cos of the water and the salt etc.  "What people on the Island?"  "Wars" ie the army barracks.  "Where on the Island?" Witch" comes through and then vanishes.  A voice is caught on the boom mic.  They haven't been in this building before and no one is allowed in.  Something drops or is thrown.  Billy tells the Witch to show itself.  A voice is heard.  Aaron gives Billy the camera and says he's having a heart attack and vanishes.  Billy asks how that would've helped?  Said the same before Billy did.  They feel something.  Zak says something's coming up on him, ice cold.  An anomaly is caught and a breath is heard, didn't even sound like a laugh.  Billy has rapid heart rate.  PSB7 Pro where a girl's voice says "get off me" not "I love you."  Then a disembodied voice says "can you find me?" not "do you love me?"

They find another door and a large black anomaly manifests on the XLS and climbs the wall.  Aaron walks by a figure on the ground which wakes up and moves up the wall.

There are lots of sinks there.  The EMF lights up all the way.  Zak goes to find the 'little girl' he couldn't get her voice out of his head.  He uses the night vision goggles and captures a plank of wood falling by itself.  Then a light anomaly leaves it.  As if it knocked it over.  Zak says Emma did it.  A figure crawls up the pillar and to the floor on the XLS.  Were they fooled by something darker or were they in contact with Emma?  They stare back at the eyes of the devil with something having a tight grip on the spirits of the island attached here.  They've only just scratched the surface.

Well that was an eventful episode and just like the GA doco another piece of wood is captured falling but in this case, an anomaly is also seen leaving it, so it pushed it over.
