Sanditon Episode 4

                                          
Georgiana (Crystal Clarke) gets a note from her beau, Otis Molyneux (Jyuddah Jaymes) and is excited he will be coming to Sandition in response to her letter to him.  So she sends for Charlotte (Rose Williams) so they can feign a picnic together.  Made easier as Sidney (Theo James) is away.  But Mrs Griffiths (Elizabeth Berrington) won't let her go as it is too shamefully embarrassing for two young girls to make a public spectacle of themselves, but Georgiana lies and says Tom (Kris Marshall) and Mary Parker (Kate Ashfield) will be with them.  Of course Charlotte doesn't agree with that but doesn't have a choice and must go along with it. 

In the woods she meets with Otis and Charlotte immediately doesn't want to leave Georgiana alone as she barely knows him.  On their picnic he tells her about his real background and how he was a slave, stolen from his mother when he was a boy in Africa and sold into slavery.  He wants to free all the slaves.  He was lucky as he met a man who freed him and provided him with an education.  However Sidney doesn't approve.  Obviously Charlotte will find that there is something damning about him, aside from the fact he doesn't have a penny.  Isn't it always the way, especially as this happened with Lydia in Pride and Prejudice with her headstrong attitude.

Again several references to Pride and Prejudice as Charlotte once again faces prejudice from Sidney and also her misinterpretation of Otis as she tells him.  Obviously Sidney returns from London but isn't able to secure finance for the regatta from the banks as they won't offer Tom anymore money.  He warns Tom to tighten his belt which he won't do especially as he buys an expensive necklace for Mary.  Tom also tells Stringer (Leo Suter) that the men haven't arrived yet and also the supplies and this will take time.  He also no longer wants a pagoda for their plans and Stringer spent all night on    the drawing, burning three candles his father (Rob Jarvis) tells Charlotte.  She thinks there's no harm in wanting to improve one's life and station and Stringer agrees. 

Charlotte knows of a back way to the London stage and takes them there so Georgiana can say goodbye.  However Sidney learns of her picnic after he sees Mrs Griffiths who tells him that she's on a picnic with his brother.  However this isn't the case.  As Charlotte mimics Mrs Griffiths and also Sidney and his disapproval of their meeting, Sidney overhears her and wants her to continue.  He sends Otis packing and then Charlotte has more words with him about his treatment and prejudice towards Otis due to his skin colour.  Sidney walks away in disgust and asks Stringer to accompany her home.  However she wants to walk and he goes with her, in silence, until she finally says she's not good company at all.  Stringer adding he isn't either.  Since he burnt his drawing in outrage at being rejected by Tom, who didn't even look at it.

Lady Denham (Anne Reid) is searching for potential suitors for Edward (Jack Fox) and Esther (Charlotte Spencer) as Clara (Lily Sacofsky) looks at the list.  She doesn't want to deliver her invitation to them saying her arm pains her.  Lady Denham is having no nonsense and sends her there regardless.  As Esther asks Edward to tighten her corset for her.  There's no answer at the door so Clara walks in and sees them almost intimate together, rather Edward kissing her neck. Esther hears a noise and fears it's the servants. 

As they arrive at Lady Denham's she tells them they need to find prospective spouses and she has found a family of daughters for Edward, at least one must be agreeable.  Clara dropping hints about what she saw.  Asked to play on the piano she searches for a tempo for all of them and Esther can take it no more.  Clara warns her of Edward taking advantage of her and how living under the same roof isn't so easy.  It happened with Clara's uncle.  Also Esther denies it but Clara warns her that there is no future for them being brother and sister even if they're not related by blood.

Esther tests her theory as Edward reads Lord Babbington's letter and Edward says they need money to run off together and wouldn't even be ale to afford a small apartment.  Clara being proven right.  Esther then probably considers Babbington on being a good choice for her now.  Charlotte and Sidney bump into each other again at the house and that's all they've been doing all episode.  Once again it's more Pride and Prejudice and might I add, Jane Eyre, by the minute.  So much hostility and prejudice towards one another.  Tom is likely heading for a fall as Sidney warns him to curb his extravagance and he will deal with his own money woes, as Tom should his own. 

Arthur (Turlough Convery) and Diana Parker (Alexandra Roach) get advice from Dr Fuchs (Adrian Scarborough) who tells them she is a hypochondriac and Arthur needs exercise, thus donkey riding.  Arthur over exerts himself and collapses from sun stroke.  So no regatta but looks like there'll be a cricket match instead next ep!  Oh the joy!  Well, not really!  Ha.

Ghost Brothers Haunted Houseguests 1.4 "Demon Problems"

                                           
Lori Stokes called on the Brothers to investigate her house after seeing shadow figures and hearing a growl when she was praying, along with a demonic entity which has been scaring her five year old grandson.  The house is relatively new and they weren't sure what was wrong with the land it was built on.  Her grandson was also being affected by something in the water.  When they arrived at the house in Welland, North Carolina, they found out that one of her sister's had passed in the room that Matthew now has as his bedroom.  As well as an uncle committing suicide three weeks after her death.

Marcus was apprehensive about dealing with demons but changed his mind for her grandson's sake and no one should have to go through this.  Lisa heard a child playing in the attic after she went there with Matthew.  He used to see a man when he was three with "ugly teeth."  Lori also saying that the entity told her grandson that she was a bitch when he was three.  In Lori's bedroom they use the Phasma Box and hear the words "I'm Sarah."  As well as Juwan going to get an EVP recorder when a voice tells them "it's in the car" which is where it was.  So uncanny.  Juwan and Marcus investigate Matthew's room where there are so many orbs flying around.  Especially as one can be seen going into Juwan's back and the coming out again, as he hears something on his left and feels "a heavy energy" behind him.

They looked at the evidence from the night before and the voice says "you're a bitch lady."  Which is what I heard first time too.  Dalen visits with Bobby Richardson, Lori's neighbour, the great, great grandson of Applewhite Richardson, who owned the property around the area.  Bobby tells him that they had a daughter and a sister named Sarah.  As well as Bobby's two cousins dying in accidents, one Johnny at aged 8 and his brother Danny at 14.  Which could explain the child's footsteps Lisa heard in the attic.

Juwan brings in Laine Crosby, an investigative medium who has solved many cases with the police and others.  She interacted with a spirit by the lake which told her there's a spirit here that's mean to Matthew.  Something moves in the living room and runs by them.  She senses they're "low level demonic entities."  In Matthew's room, she asks God to take away the demonic entity and orders it to keep away.  Dalen loses his balance after his head hurts.  She senses the presence of a child named Johnny, they called him JJ.  Also their uncle who is in a good place with their sister.  He wanted them to remember him as he was, not the darkness.

"Pain" comes through on the Ovilus.  The door opens behind Dalen, as well as being reminded that one of the family members brought in a demon to show that there's no such thing.  When Laine asks for an army of angels, there's a loud growling.  Same thing that happened to Lori when she was also praying.

The air feels lighter after and the family got closure after hearing their uncle is in a good place.  As well as the bad entities being cleared from the house.  Their first demonic investigation in someone's home yields a positive result, leaving the family in peace.  With some of the good spirits remaining.

Sanditon Episode 3

                                                 
A much more 'milder' episode of the series though still reeked with the stench of deviousness in the air.  Charlotte (Rose Williams) keeps bumping into Sidney (Theo James) everywhere she goes, literally and otherwise, including hiding under the table from him in Tom's (Kris Marshall) study, though found out by Tom.  He needs Sidney's friends to hang around longer but he can't force them to stay here as they lack entertainment.  Lord Babbington (Mark Stanley) is still in pursuit of Esther (Charlotte Spencer) who tells him in no uncertain terms that he has no chance.  She only wants Edward (Jack Fox).  More war of words from both Clara (Lily Sacofsky) and Esther, as Clara's scheming character comes through even more.  As she overhears Esther talk Lady Denham (Anne Reid) into sending Clara away.  Lady Denham commenting on Edward's lack of luck in ensnaring Georgiana (Crystal Clarke).

Tom brings in a Dr Fuchs (Adrian Scarborough) who shows off his remedies but Lady Denham is not impressed.  He demonstrates his shower bath with the help of Clara who finds a way of ensuring she remains here by scalding her arm on the copper heater.  Esther knowing she did it on purpose but can't prove it.  Clara adding further evidence of her being more of a bitch than Esther will ever know, Esther calling her one too.  Mr Stringer (Leo Suter) is in need of more men for the building works and Charlotte is impressed by the work calling it a miracle.  As he is impressed by her.  Alas we know she will only have eyes for Sidney as episodes progress.

As well as Stringer Senior (Rob Jarvis) succumbing to an accident in which he dislocates his leg, which the doctor is able to put back into place with Charlotte's help.  Sidney being impressed with her ability and this helps in changing his views about her.  Prompting her to ask whether she was able to perform well under pressure was a surprise since she is a woman.  He also says he is sorry for embarrassing her on the beach since she showed up.  But she informs him she isn't embarrassed as she had her clothes on.  She also talks to him about Georgiana and how he should realize she's away from home and she only has him, but stops short. 

Georgiana painting a horribly rude painting at the cliffside with Mr Hankins (Kevin Eldon) giving a lecture on the apples and Adam and Eve.  That they were full of knowledge and shouldn't have been plucked.  Charlotte bumps into Sidney at Georgiana's who can't wait for him to leave here, which he does.  Thereby prompting her to write to her lover no doubt, as she pulls out a locket with his picture. 

Tom is able to change Lady Denham's mind by telling her the doctor helped Stringer and his brother and sister like him.  He promises more men for the project and more supplies, which he shouldv'e done before.  As Charlotte and Sidney play with the children and the boats on the river, Charlotte has a brilliant plan for Sanditon, a regatta.  Whereby exciting Tom and plans get underway for this.  This episode was still so tedious as you can't help think Pride and Prejudice at every turn and its superiority, only that was so much more interesting too.  Such a slow progression still and we're only 3 eps into it.

Ghost Brothers Haunted Houseguests 1.3 "Dream House Nightmare"

                                             
This ep takes the Ghost Brothers to Kalama, Washington and the dream house of a family.  They heard stories of it being haunted but had to have it.  Finding out that the stories were true with the basement being particularly creepy and doors opening in the attic cupboard, Christmas ornaments falling from the tree.  As well as the children knowing they were being watched and having a feeling of being in the presence of a spirit.  In particular a man who haunted the house and also a woman near the attic.  As well as poltergeist activity with records being thrown at in a bedroom. They call for help.

As soon as they carry out a spirit box sessions, Dalen gets the following words,  after he asks "are you a spirit here with us?"  Reply: "me."  When Dalen asks if it can tell us their name, I hear "Miller."  I didn't hear "no."  I played that a few times and that's what I hear.  "I'm stuck here" comes through in the upstairs bedroom.  Sure there was an orb floating around when they showed the camera set up in one of the rooms.  Didn't appear to be dust or a bug since it wasn't seen there wasn't any dust or bugs seen.  They also got activity on the Rempod when they were checking out the attic and Juwan felt a different feeling on the second floor landing.  The house was rumoured to be haunted by Doctor Darnell who lived there with his wife, Ruth and he built the house.  It was said he carried out unethical operations and then dumped the bodies in the basement.  As well as it being a bordello which was meant to have been run by his wife, after the doctor passed.  From Dalen's meeting with the museum curator, he found the doctor died in the house in 1913, only three years after building it.  His wife turned it into a boarding house to make ends meet  and she also died in the house in 1943. They felt they were still here since their reputations have been ruined by the rumours.  Nothing more than urban legends.

Another spirit box session in the attic when Dalen asked if they could live here peacefully garnered the response, "someday."  As well as Marcus picking up a figure between Dalen and Audrey on the SLS for an instance.  There was also some sort of an anomaly passing between them too.  Dalen asks if there's anyone in their with them and gets "yeah."  "Hurt."

This light anomaly I saw on the attic wall, it wasn't the camera light.  It was rather fast to catch ti get a pic.

In the basement with Colin, Juwan heard the same noises of wood being moved and movement generally, as he did with the others the day before.  Finding it really eerie.  Picking up "tremor" on the Ovilus. Perhaps in relation to them being afraid or maybe with the wood being moved a lot.

When they slept the night in the attic, they were woken by the Rempods going off and the lamp coming on.  They decided in order to clear the house, they needed to ensure the spirits understood that they would acknowledge their reputations and also in return the spirit of the doctor would acknowledge Ghost Brothers.  They lit candles in the dining room and Dalen lay on the table with his patent shoes on; saying they would respect them and ensure their name will be respected, receiving nods from the Rempod.  They weren't menacing spirits, but had just been done wrong by the rumours.  Six weeks later the family found that things had gotten better in the house.

Great episode showing it's not always about demons and evil, sometimes it's just about spirits being wronged and needing that to be put right.  The doctor in needing his name to be respected and his wife was walking around as though she was checking on the rooms in the boarding house.  I also liked how Dalen mentioned the Holy Ghost and how he had been brought up with that religious aspect.  As I mentioned that too in the past, in the context of sceptics who have a tough time believing in spirits or generally opening themselves to the possibility of it.

Sanditon Episode 2

                                            
Excitement abounds as Charlotte (Rose Williams) agrees to help Tom (Kris Marshall) with his paperwork and sorting it out for him, as she is also enthusiastic over his model of how Sanditon will be built and look.  He being the architect of the impressive town, with little help from an architecture journal as blueprints.  That'll do that you after a brisk swim in the sea as Charlotte still shows her love of it.  Also she passes Sidney (Theo James) on the way, who happens to turn the other way as she's passing and so doesn't see her.  Yeah that'll show her, turning the other cheek, ha in relation to the end of the ep!)

Esther (Charlotte Spencer) and Edward (Jack Fox) discuss the 'affair' of Clara's (Lily Sacofsky) roving hand and how he was played by her.  Though he could do nothing about it as he saw Charlotte there.  As Esther later reprimands Clara for her "whoring ways" but she has seen much worse things.  Apparently Edward and Esther are step brother and sister and Lord Babbington (Mark Stanley) finds he must visit Esther as he was passing, having taken a fancy to her.  He being a peer of the realm, but she's not interested in him.  Edward's manners also lacking in not averting his gaze from his book.

Lady Denham (Anne Reid) also pays a call in preparation for her luncheon, wherein she tells Edward to reel it in and seduce Miss Lambe instead, more like her £100,000 inheritance.  He can enjoy dalliances after.  Georgiana (Crystal Clarke) is Sidney's ward and she refuses to attend, throwing a tantrum, hating this windy,cold island.  However he tells her she has no choice.  The luncheon being the talk of the town, well not really.  Though it is rather telling and revealing.  As Lady Denham has brought in a pineapple for the occasion from Chelsea Physic Garden no less, specially cultivated for her.  Which will serve as the centrepiece.  Actually she thought she'd impress Georgiana Lambe.  (Oh Jane Austen you had a shortage of names for your characters!)  Luncheon is far from civilized, with Lady Denham bringing up her money several times over, asking Georgiana's opinion on marriage and then telling her she is "property" as was her mother who was a slave.  Butting in for Edward who lacks the necessary qualities to court a woman.

Though Georgiana had plenty to say about the pineapple saying it's not a black pineapple and she has been fooled, in her Antiguan put-on accent.  Lady Denham then asks Charlotte's opinion who says that marriage comes into it and love as well, a certain amount of equality and not being property.  Of course she finds the whole thing disagreeable and Arthur (Turlough Convery) loses his patience and is firmly on Georgiana's side.  As he grabs the pineapple and cuts it open, revealing maggots!  Eeww! Sidney refuses to speak with Charlotte as she's seated next to him and on that note, he asks her what she thinks of the company here and she refuses to answer him as he said beforehand he wasn't conversing with her!

Georgiana runs away but can't get the stage to London as she has no money and is heckled away after saying her banker would settle the money with him.  Charlotte finds her at the cliff and they make friends.  She persuades her to paddle in the sea whereupon she's caught by her 'keeper' who whisks her away, saying someone might see her legs.  Charlotte walks back collecting shells and is met with a full frontal of Sidney coming out of the sea and runs away, in disgust it looks like!  Bah Brit productions have an obsession with bums it seems!  Ha!

Elsewhere Tom is worried that Lady Denham won't continue with her investment and Charlotte apologizes, still not liking her opinion on Georgiana's money - again.  But says he doesn't need to fear her withdrawing the money.  Tom is eager for Sidney to come through on his promise of luring his friends into taking up accommodation here, which he says must be done with jollity and not forcing them into it.  Edward and Esther want to be together but can't do so without any money.  As Lady Denham also wants him to get his paws on Georgiana, well her money.

Ugh pineapples everywhere, will it never end.  Reminded me of Aussie soap Neighbours and the nickname for Terese was a pineapple! Then Lady Denham being upset over her "pineapple"  too which Tom and Charlotte found funny.  Charlotte also telling Georgiana that Arthur has a good heart and stood up for her.  Still not much happening in terms of plots and carrying the action forward yet, they need to get another six eps out if it, so it's still a slow build up to be particularly interesting and gripping.  But perhaps a silly scene was that of the clergyman, Mr  (Kevin Eldon) and how he spoke of women in bloom, rose blooms and more exotic blooms referring to Georgiana, but that all are blooms none the less and in need of "plucking."  Ooh er vicar!  If this production is meant to shock re race, gender etc and inequality, sorry but we're used to that by now and there wasn't any need to ruin this adaptation, as nothing was new.

Sanditon Episode 1

                                             
So now we get Sanditon, a lesser known, unfinished novel by Jane Austen and there's plenty of reasons for it being now well known.  It was too Pride and Prejudice, too Vanity Fair and Sense and Sensibility.  Of course I could continue with more allusions to books and their premise, but I fear no one will be interested.  Oh and they still haven't managed to lower the music in favour of drowning out the voices yet!! Seems it was all very timely for Charlotte Heyworth (Rose Williams) to have prevented the carriage from suffering a more fatefully serious accident, and then gets to 'freeload' off the party in Tom Parker (Kris Marshall) and his wife, Mary (Kate Ashfield.)  He was looking for a doctor for the seaside resort of Sanditon.  The bathing you know. 

Once again we get the widowed aunt, Lady Denham (Anne Reid) who has all the riches and no children, concerned her family should marry into money and everyone swooping in waiting for her to die so they get their grotty paws on her fortune.  As she says to Charlotte, "surely you're here to find a husband."  Cue her ward, Clara (Lucy Sacofsky) who seems meek and shy.  Don't be fooled by her.  As we later see her with Edward in the grounds of the Denham estate.  Wanting her secret to be kept and saying she was forced into 'it' - her predicament - by him.

Charlotte becoming a part of the household as Tom has robust and grand plans to put Sanditon on the map, I keep calling it Sandition!! Thus enlisting his brother, Sidney (Theo James) who seems to be the black sheep of the family, to find rich business associates with connections.  One in particular knowing the Prince Regent.  He sets off on a rocky meeting with Charlotte at the ball and is 'lumbered' with having to dance with her, though his expression showed he was loathed to do so.  He being linked to Miss Lambe (Crystal Clarke) of Antigua, a sugar heiress who apparently has been associated with a scandal.  Seems he was associated with her, but whether or not this was scandalous remains to be seen; as she wants no part of him.

Then there was Tom's younger brother, a portly, Arthur (Turlough Convery) who hates the cold weather and is always under the weather, along with their sister, Diana (Alexandra Roach) they were the Collins's of Pride and Prejudice, at least their characters were, not that they were husband and wife.  Then the relationship between Edward Denham (Jack Fox) and his sister Ester (Charlotte Spencer) which was positively incestuous, it seems, well not positively in that sense of the word. 
Charlotte gets into a pickle when she tells Sidney she likes to look at people and then decide on their character which she finds difficult to do here as everyone mingles so freely.  As she describes his family and Tom, Sidney feels repulsed at her for not having any experience and yet speaking her mind so freely.  Experience of the world or anything.  That's the Pride and Prejudice convo between Lizzy and Darcy when they later talk of his pride and her prejudice.

Throw in some bathing in the sea and naked bums of the men; a ball, dubious characters, money and ITV feels they were on course to a ratings winner.  Not to mention more racy scenes, of which most people have complained of already.  I prefer the other books in comparison to this one, I admit.  However this was only partly written before Jane's death in 1817.

Ghost Brothers Haunted Houseguests 1.2 "When Shadows Attack"

                                              
Episode 2 continued in the same vein as the first with the Brothers helping out another family who were being menaced by a shadow figure, as well as the presence of a girl's spirit.  The family had to move away but had to move back now to the house they left behind for financial reasons.  Thus they needed help.  The house was put on the market but didn't sell.  Jeff played them back spirit box voices he had caught saying "Liz"; "don't hurt me" and he had seen a dark figure in his daughter, Mackenzie's bedroom and also one in the closet.  As well as the basement.  Apparently the girl spirit also held his hand and it appeared she was prevented from leaving by the shadow figure.

Immediately Juwan ans Dalen saw a shadow figure in the room, the same corner as Jeff did and there appeared to be some sort of light anomaly which zoomed out of the right corner, which could have been related to what they both saw.  It moves fast but it doesn't appear to be a bug.

They decided they should play hide and seek with the girl spirit.  But Marcus found them!  Using the Ovilus they got "bad" coming through, as well as "hey sad."  Which was strange as it came through in a deep voice.  They stayed overnight in their sleeping beds and next day, Marcus carried out some research, meeting with the Mayor who took him to the cemetery, explaining an African American family owned the house as a farm.  Their graves were also moved and replaced again, but no one was certain who ended up in the right one of now.  Marcus took a rubbing of the initials EG from a headstone, which could be the name, Elizabeth.  As Jeff got "Liz" on the spirit box.

They bought in a medium, Samantha, who was there before to do a reading and she felt the presence of the girl and also the shadow figure.  She told them the girl was white and wore a blue gingham dress, as Jeff said he saw.  She was buried somewhere near a tree and a rosebush.  She was up one night and then her father came home and she couldn't get back to her room so he pushed her down and killed her.  Her death was kept a secret.  Wouldn't there have been records on who owned the house at that time.

Using a doll and clothes, they used the SLS and also Samantha asked her to come and play with the doll.  They caught her on the SLS sitting on her lap and also playing with the doll.  Then the tall figure appeared and tried to tower over Samantha and touch her.

She was creeped out and seized the moment by telling the entity to leave as it doesn't have any power here and it vanished.  She told the little girl to go as she was free now.  They laid flowers by the rose bush and also placed a headstone there with the words "Be Free" on it.  Such a touching and fitting tribute.  I haven't seen many investigators do that but it tugs at the heart strings.  Now she knows people will remember her too.
The family told them the house was sold two weeks later and they were moving away.

It appears they didn't get anything again during the night when they were sleeping there, wonder why, I ask out of curiosity.  Glad to see something was done by them to help and by also allowing Liz to move on, the entity had no control over her or anyone anymore.

Ghost Brothers Haunted Houseguests 1.1 "The Bad Man"

                                               
The anticipated trio return in a new series of an altogether different show.  It's still about the paranormal, but this time round they're using their knowledge and experience as investigators to help out families being menaced by spirits and evil entities.  This time helped by Juwan's little black book!! Ha. Was hoping for a little of the other show to return, but at least we get to the Ghost Brothers on our screens once more and delve further into their alternate style of investigating. 

They find themselves in Vassar, Michigan to help Jessica, her husband veteran, Conrad and their four year old son, Xavier, who have been plagued by an evil spirit they call, The Bad Man.  Jessica was attacked by him when the mirror in the bathroom was thrown at her, a fragment cutting her leg, causing her to have a few surgeries in which she almost died.  Leaving a massive scar on her leg.  She has also heard the man call her name whilst in the kitchen and has appeared in her son's room too and he has also seen him.  There is also a 'pretty lady' in a white dress who roams the house.  Known as The Wedding Cake house cos of its tiers, a house Jessica had always dreamed of owning.  Built by original owner Richard Burdis who Dalen found out also passed in the house and a wake was held there.

Carrying out research he also spoke with journalist, Mary Drier who provided him with photos and also a photo of the second owner, Byron Coles, who she was told by an offshoot of his family how he was trouble.  Byron also died in the house.  Their initial investigation found Juwan filming a figure on the SLS by Xavier's room and by Jessica's bedroom, vanishing and then reappearing. 

A spirit box session on Dalen's phone app had them get the name Richard coming through, who was the original owner.  In the kitchen they found the stove turned on by itself and then went off too.  As well as Dalen saying this was dangerous for the family.  In the basement, Marcus used the Rempod which belted out some Morse Code which he hasn't seen it do before.  Also telling Conrad to leave.

They spent the night there and Byron didn't approach them.  Appears he only shows himself in front of defenceless women and children.  Juwan decided to bring in some help and contacted a medium, Carrie.  Showing her the photos, she found that Richard and his wife, Flora, the pretty lady, were looking out for the house and protecting it.  But that Byron was "devious and malicious."  Why would he even do that?  The house wasn't his and he should pass on.  Granted he probably did know he had passed, but wanted to keep hold of the house. An indication that he was still here and malicious, as he said "hurt and halo" on the device used in the basement.  In the closet, the room near to the bathroom where the mirror was pushed on Jessica, the same thing happened to Carrie as she was pushed from behind, almost hitting the vanity mirror if Juwan hadn't gotten hold of her.  Again attacking a woman, a cowardly spirit.  Could be seen from his photo, he looked rather arrogant in it.

Marcus thought it would be better if they left the house, or to get a priest or pastor to carry out some form of spiritual blessing.  Five weeks later, Jessica contacted them to say they were staying and would face this with the "tools" they had provided the family with.  An interesting approach and show which luckily wasn't all about being overly dark and demonic, though it was just the first episode.  It was interesting with the Brothers and their relaxed method of investigating and putting pieces of the puzzle and their evidence together and am looking forward to the other episodes.
