Death Walker 4.19 "Haunted Hinsdale House" Part 1

A decade ago Nick explored a house in Hinsdale and he was captivated by the enthralling energy that drew him back.  In 1970 when the Dandy family first moved into the house for 4 years.  Events included hearing unexplained sounds, seeing full bodied apparitions, stench of decaying flesh.  Targeting all four children after three years of haunting.  Father Al Trabold, a theology professor was one of the first notable people to be called.  Father Al offered support and had the assistance of Alex Tannis, a renown psychic.  He could sense the spirits in the vicinity.  A mass murder occurred here as he saw seven spirits roaming the land.  A woman drowned here.  Tannis saw the apparition of an 18 year old and marks on the body where she had suffered a violent assault leading to her death.  The graves may have been disturbed in the area.  13th April 1974 took a spiritual cleansing and heard groans and screamed from the sounds.  The NYU engineer captured them on record.  

Clara and her family left 6 months later to California.  Several families encountered the same experiences.  Not knowing until they departed the premises.  Nick paid a price as a spirit followed him home, invaded his waking thoughts and infiltrated his dreams.  Drained his energy.  Echoes of a Haunting, Clara's book.  Dogs discovery of human sized bones near the pond.  Nick was strengthened where desecrated human bones were found and needed investigation.  He has returned for the last time to find any secrets.

Clara calls and tells them about the danger there and seen too many scary things happen.  Clara has the insight and ability as she's so tapped into this location.  Tessa agrees they need to be on their guard.  Nick is hesitant as he's spoken to her several times.  He's trying to discover the last piece of the puzzle.  Tessa feels when dealing with something not human, makes her nervous.  Nick agrees it's not human, it's an elemental.  Can only uncover only so much as they're affected mentally and physically when they leave too.  Tessa blocks it for the family.  

A researcher/writer speaks of real things going on, missing hikers, injuries.  Evaluate what happens here is worrying.  Some things were on the hill.  Researched the place and went back before the Dandy's.  Went back to the Elders and stories of legends and waterways.  Where Native American tribes were settled or not.  War of 1812 where two brothers got the house as payment.  From the McMahon family said there was nothing there.  A haunting of one thing and of another.  She got more questions when she began research, went down 15 years.  She had a close relationship with Clara.  Answer all questions from her and Father Al.  She understands there's some things she's not going to find.  Nick and Dan have found out many things.

Clara's friend, Paul, says he's a sceptic but have to be on your guard in the house.  In the driveway he challenged in the house and he got punched in the face but nothing seen.  He didn't come back for weeks and he was supposed to look after the house.  Second time he had a harrowing experience.  He opened at the house for a group.  He went upstairs and said "hey dumb dumb."  Something in front of the bedroom said "come here."  Something inexplicable is here.  The cause or reasons he can't answer for the hauntings.  One entity doesn't like him here.  The house is dangerous.  Saw cigarette burns on her childrens' arms.  Cold rooms, Poltergeist activity.  A lady in white, rumoured to be Elizabeth, who was hanged when she was pregnant whilst her husband was away at war.  Shadow figures outside.  

Labour Day weekend around dusk, one of the girls said someone was outside, they looked to see and hear someone say someone was inside, upstairs, then downstairs, by windows and then be outside again.  He saw the emotions from these events.  Mike Dandy at the accident scene said he thought there was someone with him.  Even the police believed someone was with him.  An indent of a forehead on the passenger windshield.  Mike had hit the mirror.  Michael was weary at the house and what was going on.  He felt like what was here he couldn't beat it, he felt defeated.  Wishing he could beat what was here.  Something isn't right here.

Tessa smells pondwater in the upstairs bedroom.  Heard a groan.  When Nick asks a woman's voice says "yes."  She sees someone running around the house and trying to see what's going on inside.  "Pond spirits" comes through.  Nick feels pressure on his spine.  Tessa sees a small figure but a veil over them and that's Tessa's symbol for hiding.  Dead always comes through.  Nick says it's waiting for the moment to attack.  The floor feels like it's vibrating.  "Nick." "I see you."  Thought "Tessa" came through.  Her head feels faint.  Tessa hears banging from downstairs and sees something trying to enter.  A woman with a blacked out face, drenched, trying to come in.  She can feel five entities and one looking into the windows.  They feel drawn outside.  Their bodies are drawn outside.  They want them to check inside.  The old hag sleep paralysis, she drains their energy, preys upon vulnerability.  This episode was far more creepier than all the other episodes of  Hinsdale Nick filmed here.  More intense and involved.

Equipment to detect activity.  Connect with the spirits around the house.  "The pond" comes through.  Five people outside and a woman running around, she's separate.  "Tessa I know...come here."  Nick says the room messed him up last time, it said "no heaven."  They know she can see them.  A black hole of an umbrella and the woman around the house draws from this umbrella, that's why it happens outside.  They feel they have to cough.  I didn't hear "ask Mike" who was Clara's son who died.  Tessa doesn't feel Mike is here or any of the children and they're being tricked.  Mary's room which affected him badly last time.  Tessa uses the 3D mapping camera to see the entity trying to attach itself..  "Absolutely" when Nick asks if someone's in the room.  "Sit down."  Tessa sees something outside the door, was being mapped out.  "Nick's here."  Nick gets touched on his spine.  Tessa sees something crouched down.  "I was" when he asks if it touched his back.  "I win."  

Tessa goes into Mary's room and Nick goes into the attic.  "Yes" when he asks what's hiding.  Were you murdered?  "Yeah."  "Deep" when he asks if they're buried here?  "Wait."  Nick feels being stalked.  Nick has to leave.  He hurts, it's affecting him.  Tessa didn't feel any energy.  He couldn't breathe and he was rushed, he got paralyzed.  Nick has to get out, he feels like walking in mud and water.  Nick needs to go outside like it's drawing him out.  Tessa says not to go out.  Tessa suspected an inhuman spirit might be laying a trap, preying on him.  Tread carefully until they understand the extent of the situation.  Bob Perry, 'the bone finder' using ground penetrating radar, agreed to help.  Fear of resting in such a location prevented them to fall asleep.  Prepare to confront the supernatural entity having a hold on this land.

Ghost Adventures “Poltergeist House Curse”

 The iconic Poltergeist house was one which just had Zak’s name on it, so to speak. As he recalled this episode’s investigation. The time was right and with a new owner he was able to get his chance to be here. Recalled the doll from the films, the clown doll and no it didn’t make me scared when I watched the film, not the first time either.  He also mentioned how some people associate the curse with the film and how many of the  cast/crew died by some form of violent or premature death. Such as Dominique Dunne who was killed by her boyfriend, the director, Heather O’Rourke at only aged twelve, though he didn’t attribute any of those deaths to the curse itself. He spoke with an archaeologist, as well as two elders of the Chumash tribe who inhabited the area. One spoke of how she wouldn't’ live in anyone of those houses even if it was free. Also how the ancient ground had many houses built with the spirits being around.

As for the cast, William Sampson Jnr who was in the second movie was also in TV series Vega$ in 1982 but had no idea he was in one of the films.  No mention of JoBeth Williams as they showed her clip in the swimming pool that was constructed there and the director wanted real human skeletons in there, which the psychic objected to.  As well as showing Zak the letter from the director. She felt the spirits inside and Zak captured an EVP saying “died.” As well as some light anomalies, one outside the kitchen window and one when Heather’s doll fell from the shelf, after Zak had wanted it to do so earlier on.

Voices were caught throughout the house and on the Polterpod for the Poltergeists ha. The voices of people talking and a little girl too.  He felt a portal was also opened and voices could be heard, the last part of it sounded like “ they’re already here.”

Lights went on in the upstairs room and got brighter, the room where the psychic said she saw a man. Also two men and a woman revealed themselves to her. The voice in the polterpod sounded like “sad” or the name of someone like “Sam.” On the TV they said “Zak” was heard could also “be back.” Also “hello” came through. The frequency was set to the god frequency of 150 and they got what appeared to be a hand on the device as if it was pulling part of it away. As well as Billy capturing a stick figure on the SLS which appeared to be reaching for Zak. Jay thought it was reaching to Zak to reach into the TV. Hello also came through again.  Aaron got some photos with a streak of what appeared to be a light with the new owner, Rachel who was attracted to the house even before she got here.  Like it was calling to her…Sure I see a face in the photo. 

Examining the evidence they show Rachel their findings and also reveal the clown doll to the psychic which she says has a spirit within it.  Zak put it down to all those millions of people who watched the film and were afraid of it, thus bringing the spirit within it.  She also shows a photo her daughter took by the TV where there’s a reflection of the TV on her.

                                                

Death Walker 4.16 "Death At A Strip Club"

At this location, across from the Buffalo Central Terminal, is located The Body Shop, a gentlemen's club.  Originally cattle, sheep and pigs were slaughtered on sight.  The stockyard became a sorted facility.  Security personnel would observe the workers below.  Building was repurposed as The Body Shop, a strip club.  Paranormal activity involving mysterious incidents have led to a shroud of mystery.  A tall shadow figure means the staff don't enter inside.  Dayshift manager, Raymond and his friend documented their experiences around the club.  The origins are mysterious.  Some speculation of darkness unfolded when the building was a sorting facility.  Raymond stores haunted objects here.  A death was documented in the building.  Exsanguination was used here, the stockyard's dark past.  Raymond told them of the incidents.  A pick up truck burst into flames the night before they arrived.  One saw a train where hogs died.  A shadowy figure does hover and entices onlookers into confrontation.  Dressing room where dancers feel being watched.  Might roam the area freely.  Visual evidence has shown caps launch from the bottles.  Rational explanation is eluded to.  Doors open and close by themselves.  He and Tessa want to uncover the shadow man's identity.

The dayshift manager says his bartenders think someone walks in but there's no one there.  Bartender, Dakota was hit by a bottle cap and they rewound the cameras and watched and took off the bottle and hit her.  The property has a weird vibe.  Saw two vehicles on fire and saw many crows here.  The back warehouse where things fall and footsteps in the warehouse running.  Been in this industry for 7 years and has witnessed dancers pass away due to unforeseen circumstances.  He gets here before the bartenders.  He runs for the light switch since it's pitch black all the time.  He knows what's going to happen and he gets nervous being here.  There's noises in the club and voices.  Seen shadow figures.  They've used the Estes method here and has been thrown out of the chair.  He hit his head on the side of the table and it happened quickly and the spirit box was in his ears.  This place has a past and it wants it to be known.

"No" comes through when Nick asks if there's any ladies want to communicate.  A woman says she can see him.  She says she's not okay.  He asks who's scaring the dancers and they hear footsteps.  He asks if anyone's here.  Nick stays alone in the dark to attempt to communicate with the shadow man.  Tessa feels sick and gets the impression a man is here and Nick feels the same.  "He's here" is heard when Nick asks if the tall man is here.  She sees the girl grow up on her and the woman here and she was a dancer too like Tessa was.  Then the man steps in and everything else goes away.  She says the man is in the hallway.  A voice says "me."  Tessa feels like the man has a possessive nature and loves women.  He's very aggressive and he frequented night clubs even when it wasn't neither.  More things happen when they're separated, as Nick's heard those stories.  Tessa stays alone in the dressing room.

Nick uses devices in the main area of the building.  Tessa uses the box again.  She doesn't like being alone.  His energy is intimidating.  She feels dizzy and sick.  The box shuts and she feels like she almost fell out of the chair.  She thinks he worked in the slaughterhouse.  A man died outside.  Nick has goosebumps as someone walks into the room.  I heard a voice go "hmmp."  Was that a "yes" when he asks if he likes being here or if he's dead??  The box shuts again.  "That man right there...Tessa" comes through too.  "Get out..." when Nick asks if they like they're here.  The box keeps shutting.  The energy moves out of the warehouse and their batteries die when they move to the dressing room.  Tessa says he feeds off energy, from people, objects and takes a lot of energy for them to physically interact from the other side.  They feel the shadow man is the aggressive entity pushing and scaring people.  

Death Walker 4.14 "Ghosts At Marjim Manor"

Marjim Manor located at Appleton New York combining a history of winemaking and paranormal activity.  A vision of its original owner who acquired the land in 1854 and constructed Appleton Hall.  Shubal Scudder Merritt lived with Sophia and his son Lewis.  Shubal's wife got TB and died in the hall.  He also died of TB in the same place on 2nd March 1885 and a new owner, Dr Charles A Ring, bought the place.  Sorrow too as in June 1907 Hannah, his wife, died. 1908 Charles passed of TB.  Elia Estelle Morris as the rightful owner.  Estelle lived there with her sister and in 1908 Florella also died.  Estelle found love with John Farmer Whitwell.  In 1993 sisters of St Joseph got the property and became a Summer retreat and a school for boys.  Operates as a winery today by Margo.  She pieced together the story of the house.  Merritt family.  More answers were needed and she invited Nick and Tessa to explore the property.  The basement where a strange man resides.  Visitors and staff speak of occurrences unexplained.  Full bodied apparitions, disembodied voices whisper.  Unravel its mystery, identity purposes and reasons between the manor.

In 2003 Margo and her husband wanted to look at the house.  A friend of hers, Pete, the Bible had a sketch and everything about the house she predicted was right.  She dreamed about it when she was five and ended up here.  At the bar at one minute to three and at 3 O'clock Lewis burst through the French door, which opened and the doors slammed shut.  The first paranormal event they experienced.  In the basement, the lights came on and decorated for Christmas and the wine rack was in the middle of the room.  Spin the bottle and Margo joked Lewis had a crush on her.  Hannah was Estelle's mother wanted to talk to her daughter.  Murder mystery dinner took place here and she looked at the calendar which fell off the wall and it fell again.  Then it fell again on March 14th and she said she'd wish her grandmother a happy birthday early and it didn't fall again.  A customer has asked about the German Shepard at the back door, who had passed.  More spooky goings on happen in the basement.  Ghost story says many people were shot and died and haunt the house at three.  Shubal Merritt died in the house, Dr Charles Ring also died here.  Hannah died around three, but they're not sure.  The Sisters of St Joseph who died at three.  People see someone in Victorian dress on the path by the lake.  A boy drowned in the pond or lake and she'd like to confirm this.

Tessa picked up on a little boy's energy.  She feels children would be inside the house.  The little boy watches and waits for someone.  The woman enjoyed the property who'd walk down the path.  The history and residual energy is heavy but not necessarily in a bad way.  She heard many women and being inside may help her with who they are.  The basement and she feels anxious and figure out who's there.  They use the recorder and saw a woman looking at them.  Nick asks about the dog.  "Yes" when Tessa asks if they're overseeing things.  A nun had a dog and the voice comes through and asks about the dog.  A voice comes through and says something like "I killed it, the dog" that's what I hear.

Tessa says something's come in, she feels a child and a little boy running around.  It goes from a boy to an adult.  A lot of residual images.  There's a woman associated with him and she feels like the child is revisiting but didn't die here but died as an adult and visits here.  "Five spirits...mother."  He's calling for his mother.  "Four, five...six" comes through.  "My wife" comes through as does "hey Nick."  She feels pacing under their feet.  In the basement, Tessa feels her hair getting pulled.  Walking is heard.  She thinks it could be the little boy.  "Yes" comes through when they ask if the little boy pulled her hair.  She feels unsettled energy in the basement.

"Hello...Tessa..." comes through.  She asks if anything was blocked off.  Nick feels pressure on his head.  She feels a doorway, a passageway and hiding.  The house was used for the Underground Railway.  Tessa feels pain in the back of her head.  Tessa pushes Nick's head in the cobwebs and they speak of Charlotte's Web and Nick mentions Arachnophobia.  A woman says "they're coming."  Tessa sees a woman holding a baby.  "Yes."  They want to get away.  There's a protective man here too.  The batteries get drained.  Tessa says they want something of theirs in the walls.  Nick asks if she lost her baby, "I did".  She's stuck here.  

They relay their findings to Margo.  Tessa tells her about the woman at the top of the house.  Hannah sat up there waiting for visitors.  A little boy and the number five and 27 came up.  Ripley came here as a child, Hannah's half brother, who was 23 when he died.  She saw coins in a handkerchief and put somewhere.  The slaves would go into the basement through a small window.  

Death Walker 4.17 "Spirits of Dunkirk Lighthouse"

In the 19th century at Lake Eerie, the Dunkirk lighthouse is situated.  17 miles into the night a bi-navigational aid, the relic of the lens was preserved from the original tower.  Guided vessels through the lake.  The keepers and their family lived in a brick dwelling.  Over 133 years there were 19 caretakers and due to the innovations of the 1960's, the lighthouse keepers reign ended. In the late 1800's, Charlie met a tragic end whilst trying to save four children in the waves of the lighthouse.  Two children and Charlie died.  The waters told of shipwrecks.  On 9th August 1841, the ship on Eerie with 343 people was on fire and sank near Buffalo harbour.  One of the most fatal incidences in Lake Eerie's history.  In 1984 the Coastguard passed on ownership of the Dunkirk lighthouse and to the Veterans Park Museum were now the owners.  Museum staff tell of a shadowy figure that moves through the lighthouse, footsteps and a young boy in period attire.  Thought it's a child from the steamship disaster.  Tugging at visitors and moving objects.  Military relics of World War 1 and 2 as well as Korean wars.  Nick and Tessa bring sons, Luciano, 1 and Gian, 8 in the lighthouse.  Their approach is about providing a conduit to the spirits to connect with the energetic youths.

The Burned Over District and the spiritualist movement is relevant in the area.  Many people have come here, some of them being spiritualists and psychic mediums.  The lighthouse falls into line.  Lake Eerie historically many shipwrecks happened here.  Lights over the Lake due to people having passed or UFO activity and Native American spirit lights seen.  The edge of Lake so water helps and serves as energy.  Shadow figures, noises from places which should be quiet.  Experiments have led to manifestation of activity.  Things being moved or moving.  The air feels heavy.  Dick Lawson said to the caretaker that the American Legion people were visiting the town.  One of the dining room windows and felt a presence push on him.  He said to Charlie that the commanders will be here and he'll leave and won't come back until May.  Charlie wanted to know what he was doing.  Before the city called they needed to turn the water on.  In the basement near the door and he heard "get out."  One lighthouse keeper died in his sleep overnight here.

Tessa sees a woman on the property.  She feels as its near the water it will cause plenty of activity.  She hears children in her mind.  She saw a young boy drowning when she was driving here.  She picks up on a man but he isn't connected to the house and that he would've drowned.  The man feels unsettled and he passed quickly.  He comes back here as his life was taken so early.  The children enjoy being near the water and sees a ship and someone has an aggressive nature.  Like a ghost ship at the shore and a man jumping off.  He came here to attack and be aggressive here.  Scaring the other spirits to go into hiding.  The woman is everywhere at the top of the house a lot.

Investigating with Gian and Luciano using their equipment.  "Information" comes through.  "Vision, push..."  Gian feels cold.  Tessa asks how many children are here, "7/8" comes through.  "People."  "Gian" comes through.  "Yeah" comes through when Nick asks if it sees the light source.  Tessa asks if there's anyone from the military.  "Stand back" is heard.  Tessa says something in German comes through, I didn't hear it.  Gian says he feels more people are here.  Luciano sees someone on the stairs and hits Nick in the face by accident.  Nick wants to enhance the environment.  

Tessa says there's a difference in the environment after the children had arrived and the energy shifted.  The children are more of a bright light to them and attracted many souls.  She calls having the children here as a "lighthouse" attracting the souls they're so pure.  She says a man came in.  He's pacing and frantically looking for the children.  Nick asks if it's Charlie?  A knocking is heard.  They hear walking upstairs.  A "yes I am" comes through when they ask if they're looking for the children.  Outside they ask if the woman can speak to them.  Footsteps are heard.  "Breathe" comes through.  A woman's voice.  "Me" when they ask who's in there with them.  A lot of history and different layers of history.  The children triggered something from the past and they're experiencing that with them in this reality now.  Tessa picks up something about timing.  Nick asks if he can pick up more now they're familiar with him.  She thinks the children will come in here and Charlie wants to communicate.

Someone screams when Nick comes to the bottom of the stairs.  They felt like Dave when the people surrounded him.  "Dave" comes through.  Nick uses the recorder.  I hear "I'm dead" when Nick asks what he wants to tell them.  Nick asks if he sees him, it says "Stairs."  Footsteps above them.  Uses different equipment to contact spiritual entities.  The equipment goes off near him.  The radio EMF fluctuates so someone is there, they're picking up contact.  They hear something fall in the basement and phantom footsteps.  The devices go off upstairs, leading them away and then to somewhere else when they get there.  "I'm here" is on the recorder.  The children enhanced the energy with the spirits and giving them a voice to continue to tell their story.
